The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS LVM Home Renforsen is located in Vindeln and provides care for men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse, in combination with mental health issues.
Job Description
Do you want to be part of creating life-changing transformations for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogue at SiS LVM Home Renforsen is a meaningful challenge. We are currently looking for three treatment pedagogues who have the drive and commitment to work with vulnerable individuals. As a treatment pedagogue, you will work in a team alongside treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you will be responsible for ensuring that the clients residing with us receive the security, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you will be working with qualified care and motivational work, as well as providing support in daily life. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the fulfillment of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our routines and assist in ensuring that daily life runs smoothly with cleaning, cooking, etc. Case management is also one of your tasks. The job may also involve mentoring new employees and interns. This is a role for you who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to a schedule of days, evenings, and weekends.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of humanity. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's core values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our clients. As a person, you are self-assured and have an easy time building relationships with clients as well as with other staff members. You possess good communication skills and can maintain your composure even in stressful situations. You work well with others and can handle conflicts constructively.
You should also have:
- A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or an education from a university that we assess as equivalent
- A valid driver's license (B)
- Good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing
It is advantageous if you have:
- Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or within LSS care
- Experience from client-facing positions within other governmental authorities
- Education in care and social services
- Experience working with our target group (e.g., substance abuse care, youth care, etc.)

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
